China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (中国航天科工集团有限公司, CASIC) is a major state-owned aerospace and defense conglomerate in China. CASIC is responsible for research, development, production, and marketing of missiles, satellites, launch vehicles, defense electronics, and other products. CASIC plays a crucial role in advancing China's space capabilities, satellite technology, and defense industry. After having directly operated the Kaituozhe 1 and 2 launchers, CASIC ultimately created a commercial subsidiary, ExPace, which now operates the Kuaizhou launcher.
