DART

Wiki

The Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) mission is the first-ever mission to demonstrate the capability to deflect an asteroid by colliding a spacecraft with it at high speed – a technique known as a kinetic impactor. The satellite will also carry LICIACube, a CubeSat that will be released shortly before the impact to provide data and imagery to verify the effects of DART's impact on the binary asteroids.
