Beresheet

Wiki

Beresheet is moon lander built by the Israeli organization SpaceIL, originally for the Google X-Prize. They are still launching it even though the deadline has passed. If successful, it would be the world's first lunar landing by a private entity. Launch services for the mission are provided by Spaceflight Industries. Beresheet will be deployed into a Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO) before performing a Trans Lunar Injection (TLI) using its own propulsion.
