Mission Details

NS-19

Michael Strahan, Laura Shepard Churchley, Dylan Taylor, Evan Dick, Lane Bess, and Cameron Bess flew aboard New Shepard. Laura is the daughter of Alan Shepard, the first American to reach space and the namesake of the New Shepard rocket. Her father's flight was similar to hers — a suborbital flight.

After the powered phase performed by the booster, the crew experienced roughly three minutes of weightlessness before the capsule began to reenter the atmosphere. Once in low atmosphere, the capsule deployed parachutes and landed softly in the Texas desert.
