AOS-Demo & Precursor

AOS-Demo is part of the Norwegian Space Agency’s Arctic Ocean Surveillance (AOS) program. The satellite will test two new maritime surveillance payloads provided by Space Norway: SDR (Software Defined Radio) and PDHT (Payload Data Handling and Transmission).

AOS-Precursor is part of the Norwegian Space Agency’s Arctic Ocean Surveillance (AOS) program. The satellite will conduct surveillance of vessels, particularly in the Arctic Regions of Norway, and provide this data to end users, allowing them to track unauthorized fishing activities, assist in Search and Rescue operations and perform routine surveillance of difficult to monitor areas in Norwegian waters.
