BN2.1 was a test tank designed to validate the structural soundness of the Super Heavy thrust section using cryogenic proof testing with thrust rams.
BN2.1 conducted proof testing to validate the design of the Super Heavy aft section.
BN2.1 performed a cryogenic proof test using liquid nitrogen to validate the construction of the prototype. Thrust rams were installed on the test stand to simulate the forces of Raptor engines.
