Booster 9 was a Super Heavy prototype. It was the first booster to feature electronic thrust vector control of the Raptor engines and was the first to support hot-staging through the use of an added hot-staging ring at the top of the booster.

33-Engine Static Fire #1
Booster 9 attempted a static fire of all 33 of its Raptor engines. Of the 33 engines, 4 shut down prematurely, and the static fire ended at 2.74 seconds out of an expected duration of just under 5 seconds. This was the first static fire supported by the new deluge system.
